Middle School Wrestlers Won Hillsboro Invitational-

Saturday December 6th, the John Evans Middle School Wrestling Team traveled to Hillsboro to compete in the Annual Hillsboro Hawks Wrestling Tournament. Nine schools participated in the tournament: Hillsboro, DeSoto, Union, Sullivan, Central, North County, Windsor, Herculaneum and Potosi. At the end of the day when the team points were totaled, the Trojans came out on top!  According to Coach David Leeds, Middle School Wrestling Coach, “The boys wrestled hard all day and faced some really tough competition. Winning this tournament was very special.” Individual champions were: Noah Juliette 3-0, Jacob Lands 4-0, Jacob Reed 3-0, Austin Roberts 4-0, Kalub Evans 3-0. Cale Short took second at 2-1 and Austin Dover, James Aubuchon and Austin Harris all won two matches to add to the team total. Great Job Trojans!! John Evans Middle School wrestlers have had a successful season so far. They have won the Hillsboro Tournament, placed Third at DeSoto Tournament and won 18 of 21 matches at North County. This Thursday, December 18 is their only home match.  Please come to the John Evans Middle School gymnasium to support the local boys. Starting time is 4:30 p.m.
