Wilma Jean Minx of Richwoods was born June 11, 1939 in Richwoods, a daughter to the late Clarence Burton Wideman and Maggie Effie (Rutledge) Wideman. Wilma departed this life Wednesday, July 27, 2022 having reached the age of 83 years, 1 month and 16 days.
On August 27, 1977, Wilma was united in marriage to Jerry Minx and they were blessed 44 wonderful years together.
Wilma is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Minx of Richwoods; daughters, Marsha Hayes and husband David of Richwoods, Sheila Hayes and husband Rob of Potosi, Roxanna Benton of Bismarck, Jeana Davis of Cadet; sons, Wayne Davis and wife Joyce of Festus, Scott Davis and wife Pearl of Union; brother, Clarence Wideman and wife Karen of DeSoto; 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllys Greenlee and grandchildren, Mitchell Hayes and Matthew Hayes.
Wilma loved to travel and always took her family where ever she went. She enjoyed getting her nails done and always made sure she looked her best. She was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother who loved spoiling her grandchildren. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved her.
Visitation for Wilma was held Sunday, July 31st from 2 to 7 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation resumed Monday, August 1st from 8:30 to 10 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 1st at 10 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi with Rev. Richard Wisdom officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at St. Stephen Catholic Church Cemetery in Richwoods. Serving as pallbearers were Andy Hayes, Scott Davis, Eric Davis, Tommy Hayes, Ian Hayes and B.J. Hayes.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
