Robert Amos Mayfield

Robert Amos Mayfield of Cadet was born on July 9, 1941 in Potosi, a son of the late Amos and Alice (King) Mayfield. Robert passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, having reached the age of eighty-one.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Carolyn Mayfield; children, Randy Mayfield (wife, Bridgett), Kelly Sparks (husband, Ken), Daniel Mayfield; two step sons, Jim Cohen, David Cohen; six grandchildren, Michael Kley, Victoria Kley, Justice Mayfield, Emma Mayfield, Robert Mayfield, and Landon Mayfield; four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Nicholson, Judy Littrell-Mathinia, and Jane Owens. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his step son, William Farris; siblings, Larry Mayfield, Lucille Thurston, Jimmy Mayfield, Bonnie Neubauer, and Geraldine King; and many other dear relatives.

Robert loved fishing, camping, and staying busy working, especially his career.

Visitation for Robert was Monday, November 14th from 5 to 8 p.m. and continued on Tuesday, November 15th from 9 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 15th at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery with full military honors by the United States Army and V.F.W. Post 6947.
