From April 2, 1970 Edition... SERVICES HELD FOR ANNA MARY YATES

Anna Mary Yates of Potosi, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 9, 1892, the daughter of the late Fred and Amelia (Geers) Heuer, and departed this life and entered into rest on March 27, 1970 at the Mineral Area Osteopathic Hospital at Farmington, Missouri. She was 77 years, 11 months, and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.

Mrs. Annie Yates is survived by one son, Fred Yates of Star Route Leadwood, Missouri, her daughter-in-law, Juanita Yates, and three grandchildren, Kenneth, Erma and Sheila Yates all of Star Route Leadwood, Mo.

Mrs.Yates was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Yates, and four brothers. One of her brothers, Theodore (Ted) Heuer made his home with his sister in Potosi before he passed away.

Annie Yates as everyone knew her, was born and reared in St. Louis but spent 34 years of her life in Potosi and Washington County. For the past two years she made her home with her Fred near Leadwood.

Other than her son, her daughter-in-law and the grandchildren, she is survived by one sister-in-law, Estella Heuer of Murray, Kentucky, two nephews, Oliver Heuer, Jr., of Pontiac, Mich., and Richard O. Heuer of St. Louis, and many, many friends.

She professed faith in Christ whom she served faithfully until her death. She leaves many precious memories, and was loved greatly by all who knew her.

Funeral services were conducted at Sparks Chapel in Potosi on Monday, March 30, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert Marler and Rev. Raymond Price officiating. Interment was in the Frieden Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo., Don Sparks Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
