From June 1, 1950 Edition... Catherine Campbell, 89, Dies In Tulsa, Okla.

Catherine Lillian Campbell passed away at the home of her son Raymond Campbell in Tulsa, Okla., on May 22, 1950, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 9 days. Mrs. Campbell was the widow of the late John M. Campbell. They came to Washington County from Buffalo, N. Y. in 1908. Mr. Campbell formed the Southeast Missouri Barite Co., and operated same at Tiff, Mo. until World War I.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband in 1927 and son Lawrence in 1947. Surviving are two sons Raymond of Tulsa, Okla., and Arthur of St. Louis, five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The remains were brought to St. Louis by air and then to Potosi by hearse.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 25 at the St. James Church, Potosi. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Father O’Donnell assisted by Rev. Cook at 9:00 a.m. Burial was in the St. James Cemetery, Potosi, by the Boyer Funeral Home.
