William Wesley Maness

William Wesley Maness, also lovingly known by family and friends as “Bunny”, was born on April 7, 1951 in Bonne Terre, a son of the late John Ed Maness Sr. and the late Mae (Pruitt) Maness. Bunny departed this life on September 1, 2021 having reached 70 years of age. .

On November 27, 1967, Bunny was united in marriage to Linda A. King and they shared nearly 54 years together.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Maness; daughter, Melissa Schwendemann & fiancé, Jason Wilkerson; step mother, Blanche Maness; two granddaughters; Savannah Blankmann (husband, Keith) and Hannah Schwendemann; two great granddaughters; Sophie and Madeline Sancegraw; four siblings, Shirley Gowen (husband, William), Beverly McCosar (husband, Victor), Verna Eckhoff (husband, Dave), Lisa Norris (husband, John); very dear friends; Butch & Shirley Bratton, Delbert & Denna Clayton; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

In addition to Bunny’s father and mother, he was preceded in death by his son, son, Jeff Allen Maness; and brother, Johnny Maness.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 7th from 5 to 8 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Wednesday, September 8th, from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 8th at 1 P.M. at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Keith King officiating. Interment followed at the Maness Family Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to DeClue Funeral Home.
