Edna Verniece (Wilkinson) Adams Snyder of Ironton was born on November 6, 1925, in Shoal Creek, a daughter of the late Fred and Durcie Huitt Wilkinson. Verniece went to her heavenly home on Friday, September 17, 2021, having reached the age of ninety-five years, ten months, and eleven days.

Verniece was united in marriage to Theodore Adams on July 23, 1943, and they spent nearly 61 years together at the time of his passing on March 21, 2004. In September 2004, Verniece was united in marriage to Willie Snyder and spent 11 wonderful months together before he passed away on August 18, 2005. Verniece worked at Brown Shoe Company for 42 years and anywhere she went you would always catch her with a smile on her face.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her son, Jack (Vivian) Adams; stepson, Joe (Margaret) Snyder; grandchildren. Douglas (Sherry) Adams, and Jacque (Robbie) Racer; step grandchildren, Anita (Earl), Amanda (Colby), Angie (Kenny), Nathan (Jen), Larry Joe, Mark, and Billy; great-grandchildren, Dallas, Jessica (Josh), Ashley, and Brice; siblings, Carl Wilkinson, James (Sarah) Wilkinson, Fred (Helen) Wilkinson, and Betty (Don) Haught. Verniece is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Verniece was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Durcie Wilkinson; first husband, Theodore Adams; second husband, Willie Snyder; sister-in-law, Retha Wilkinson.

A visitation for Verniece was held on Thursday, September 23rd from 5 to 8 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi. Visitation continued on Friday, September 24th from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M.

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 24th at 2 P.M at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeff Richards officiating, assisted by Pastor Jim Ainley. Interment followed at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of Declue Funeral Home.
