‘Spookfest’ Will Be A Drive-Thru Single Stop For Youngsters

October 15, 2021

County Clerk Jenny Allen and the ‘girls’ of the office have been working on the Annual Spookfest for 2021. This year has again been a challenge with so many youngsters and younger adults having to fight the Covid virus.

With that in mind, the Spookfest will be ONE STOP drive-thru set up at Red Wing parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. No businesses, groups or individuals will be set up as the treats are being gathered ahead of time to be put together and bagged for each youngster.

The precaution has come about with the younger ages having to be concerned about the Covid virus at the time, as well as all adults. Schools have had many challenges and the organizers did not want to put kids at risk for some treats.

Sponsors are welcome at $50 each or donors can give 1500 treats with a business or organization name on them to be included if they prefer. Sponsors will be recognized on a banner and in each bag.

Donations need to be the County Clerk by Friday, Oct. 22nd, 2021 to be included on the sign and list. For more information, please call 436-7704 for the County Clerk’s Office.

Each youngster will get a bag in a vehicle driving through the line which will begin on Red Wing Drive. Treats will be given first come, first served, while supply lasts.
