Shayley’s Angels To Begin “Crafting For A Cause” Thurs. Oct. 28th At Library

October 21, 2021

The Shayley’s Angels group is starting a new project on Thursday, Oct. 28th, 2021 at the Washington County Library. The program is being called ‘Crafting for a Cause’ and will give people the opportunity to do a little something creative for someone else.

The flyer put out by Lela Thompson says, “Do you know of a child struggling or someone who needs new friends? Maybe you yourself are struggling and/or just need some time away? No matter the reason come craft with us!”

Shayley’s Angels is hosting the Thursday evening get together, to begin at 6 p.m. at the Library’s lower level.

Thompson said all ages are welcome and the project is a ‘win-win’ because the crafts being made will be given to people in nursing homes who may not have visitors, military who may not get mail, and for others who may be struggling and just need someone to help cheer them up.

It will be a fun evening while doing a good deed!

This project is free for the community to participate in and thanks to everyone supplies will be available. The plan is to meet and craft on the last Thursday of each month.

Come join the fun and learn a craft or two, support someone who needs just a little ‘pick me up’.

For questions or more information, please contact Lela Thompson at 573-854-3456.

Shayley’s Angels is a local non-profit that supports awareness of depression and suicide.

Everyone’s welcome!
