William (Jake) Eldean Marler Jr.

William (Jake) Eldean Marler Jr., was born on September 29, 1961 in Bonne Terre to William (Bill) Eldean Marler Sr. and Mary Lou (Wilson) Marler. Jake left this life on October 14, 2021, having reached the age of 60 years and 15 days.
Jake had two children with his former wife Cathy Sue (Wells) Marler, a son, William (Jakey) Eldean Marler III, and a daughter, Samantha Sue Marler-Tedford.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manuel and Frances (Wade) Marler, Elsworth and Lora (Ferrell) Wilson, and son, William (Jakey) Eldean Marler III.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are a daughter, Samantha (Richard) Marler-Tedford; grandson, William (Liam) Clarence Marler-Tedford of Mineral Point; parents, William (Bill) and Mary Lou (Wilson) Marler of Mineral Point; sister, Kim (Harold) Cox of High Ridge; brother, Chatman Marler of Mineral Point and nieces, nephews, many family members and friends.
Jake was always a hard working man, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandpa. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunt- ing, camping, gardening and traveling. He loved spending time with his only grandson, his pride and joy, making special memories. He loved teaching his nephews how to fish. He loved God, family, and his church.
Visitation was held at Hopewell Church of God, Mineral Point on October 25th 4:30-5 P.M., followed by a memorial service at 5 P.M. with Reverend Matt Woods, Officiant.
