Derrill L. Missey

Derrill L. Missey was born in Washington County on December 4, 1958 a son to Patrick and Myrtle (nee Coleman) Missey. He died on October 23, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South at the age of 62.
He is survived by two sons, Travis (Katherine) Missey, DeSoto and Toby Missey, Valle Mines; five grandchildren, David Williams, Jr., Miranda Missey, Kailey Missey, Mariah Missey and Gabrielle Missey; three sisters, Patty (Jim) King, Valley View, TX, Joyce (the late Tom) Cheatham, Festus and Faye (Benny) Merseal, Old Mines; three brothers, Roger Missey, St. Charles, Keith (Sharon) Missey, Blackwell and Kevin (Barbara) Missey, Hopkinsville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Derrill was a self-employed HVAC technician. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and everything about golf. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Council of the Knights of Columbus #1185.

Visitation was held Wednesday, October 27th from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, October 28 at 10 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Alexander Anderson. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, DeSoto.
