Ace Lynn Eye

Ace Lynn Eye of Potosi was born on January 28, 1949, a son to the late Ace Charles Eye and the late Alice Lee Fitzwater. Ace passed away on October 12, 2021, having reached the age of seventy-two years, eight months, and fourteen days.

On November 10, 1979, Ace was united in marriage to Lisa Ann Adams and spent nearly 42 years together.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Lisa Eye; children, Kristina Kay and fiancé Jerry Thompson, Ryan Eye and Kerri Skaggs; grandchildren, Ashley Decker and fiancé A.J. Morrison, Adam Decker and fiancé Kayla Nichols, Trey James, Lucas Keith Eye, Lylee Weir; great grandchildren, Bryson, Zyla, Adison, Zayden, Tilden, Axel, Slater, and Nova; siblings, Lois Ann (Roger) Swierk, and Peggy Whitnah; mother-in-law, Margaret Ann Lane. Ace is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ace was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Eye; siblings, Joseph Eye, Robert “Bob” Eye, Tim Eye, and Lowayne Streckfus.

A memorial visitation was held on Wednesday, October 20th from 2 to 4 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi.

A memorial service followed the visitation at 4 p.m. with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Full military honors were presented by the United States Army and VFW Post 6996. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
