John Becker

John Thomas Becker, age 72, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County, Missouri. He was born January 24, 1949, in Festus, the son of the late Anna Lee (nee Algire) and Warren T. Becker.

He is survived by his significant other of 25 years Barbara Kentch; son Thomas Wayne Becker of Festus; grandson Luke Thomas Becker; brothers Donald Rey (Sandy) Becker of Crystal City, Missouri, and Warren “Ted” (Judy) Becker, Jr. of Festus; sister Margaret Joyce (Edward) Noack of Beverly Beach, Florida; and numerous extended family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Charles W. (Ruth survives of Festus) Becker, and an infant sister Vera Lee Becker.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran that served state side during the Vietnam War performing chemical weapons disposal; retired as maintenance supervisor from LaRoche Industries of Festus; was the past master of the Potosi and Shekinah Masonic Lodges; and loved hunting, fishing, and farming.

Visitation from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with Masonic Funeral Services at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus officiated by Mr. Herb Hollingsworth. Interment with full military honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 4, 2021. Memorials in John’s memory are preferred to the Potosi Masonic Lodge #131, 206 W. Bretton Street, Potosi, Missouri 63664.
