Alice Lucille (Byrd) Jackson was born May 28, 1938 in Wardell, a daughter to the late Walter Louis and Carrie Onita (Vaugh) Byrd. Alice departed this life Monday, December 6, 2021 having reached the age of 83 years, 6 months and 8 days.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Debra Drennen and husband Lennus of Cadet; son, Ron Pemberton and wife Mary of Bayfield, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her two loving husbands, Vearl Pemberton and Ottis Gene Jackson, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Alice had a creative mind and could make anything she set her mind to. She loved to make quilts, embroider and crochet. In addition to quilting, she loved music and could play the banjo. Music was important to her and she loved to share her gift with everyone. She loved her friends and family unconditionally and spoiling her grandchildren. The gift she was blessed with and love she shared with others will be treasured in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
A graveside service was held Thursday, December 9th at 11 A.M. at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter. Serving as pallbearers were Bon Boyer, Clayton Martin, Jesse Eckhoff, Ron Pemberton and Kody Martin.
All services were under the care and directions of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
