Ellen Louise (Phillingane) Tiefenauer was born June 9, 1946 in North Carolina a daughter to the late Lloyd Edward Phillingane and Effie Louise (Kennedy) Phillingane. Ellen departed this life Friday, December 17, 2021 having reached the age of 75 years, 6 months and 8 days.
On January 6, 1968 Ellen was united in marriage to the late Donald Tiefenauer and they shared many memories and 31 years together. Donald preceded Ellen in death on March 17, 1999.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Isgrig of Caledonia, Amy Tiefenauer of Potosi; sons, Lucas Tiefenauer of Petersburg, Virginia, David Tiefenauer and wife Melanie of Caledonia, sister, Virginia Powers of Charleston, South Carolina; brothers, Eddie Phillingane of Hopewell, Virginia; grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew, Christopher, Rachael, Brandon, Lexi, Austin, Dylan; 16 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Ellen was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Phillingane, Jr. and great grandchild, Oliver Clark.
Ellen had a caring and giving heart and dedicated her time to serve others. She was a natural leader and was the volunteer Firefighter Chief at Caledonia for many years. She also led the 4-H Caledonia Country Kids. She had a sharp mind and great patience. She loved being outside working in her garden, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Canasta and video games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to sew and could make anything she set her mind to. Most of all, her family was her pride and joy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her memory will be forever be cherished in the hearts of those she loved.

Visitation for Ellen was held Tuesday, December 21st at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, December 22nd at Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery with Rev. Mande Robinson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Matthew Bone, Dylan Isgrig, Brandon Tiefenauer, Rebecca Bone, Christopher Clark and Jimmy Nicholson.

All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
