Michele Wood

Karen Michele Wood, 77, of Potosi passed away January 18, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born April 4, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Theodore G. and Verna Imogene (Bohrer) Jones. Michele was of Lutheran faith. She retired from Mineral Area Regional Medical Center after 40 years as a surgical nurse. She loved to travel with her children, Laura and Matt, as well as her close friends, Pat and Diane. She enjoyed tending to her large koi pond and spending time with her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, John Kollmeyer and a brother, Steve Jones.

Michele is survived by her husband, James A. “Jim” Wood; two children, Laura (Shawn) Caldwell and Matthew Kollmeyer (Scott Morrow); a grandson, Connor Caldwell; sister-in-law, Sue Jones; niece, Erica Bertram.

Visitation was held Friday, January 21st from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 2 P.M. at the C.Z. Boyer & Son – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Chaplain Barbara Tumminia officiating.
