Stuckman "Steve" Nosser, age 102, of Quincy, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.

Steve was born August 29, 1919 in Bunker, the son of Charles and Florence (Counts) Nosser. He married Lillian Morris in St. Louis. She preceded him in death.

Steve proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the battleship USS West Virginia. After his military service he managed car dealerships in Phoenix, Arizona and St. Louis. Steve moved to Quincy in the 1960's where he was owner of Steve Nosser Ford. Steve was a Mason for over 70 years and was also a Shriner.

Survivors include two grandsons, Freddie Tolmachoff and Elijah Kittrell both of Quincy; a son-in-law, Jack Triplett of Quincy; a brother, Abraham Nosser; two sisters-in-law, Mae Nosser and Helen Nosser; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Lillian, Steve was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Grace Nosser; a grandson, Matthew Tolmachoff; five brothers, Jim, Hardy, Mac, Del, and Hoover (Herb) Nosser; three sisters, Maude Kaufman, Cebe Coleman, and a sister in infancy; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn, Opal, and Gertrude Nosser; and a brother-in-law Leonard Coleman.

Visitation was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25th at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with Chaplain Dave Hall officiating. Burial followed in Greenmount Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #37 and the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Team.
