Gene Edward Skaggs Gene Edward Skaggs

Gene was born March 7th, 1993 to Stacy Marlene Aubuchon and the late Gene William Griffin. Gene entered through heaven’s gates January 30th, 2022 having reach the age of 28 years 10 months and 23 days.

Those who have went before him include his dad, Gene Griffin; grandparents, Hazel and Walter Griffin; grandpa, Cleo Skaggs and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those who are left to miss him are his mother, Stacy Aubuchon; grandmother, Barbara Boyster; son, Gunner Skaggs; sister, Tabitha and husband Dylan Martin; brothers, David and wife Kayla Aubuchon, Tristin Skaggs; nephew, Ethan; nieces, Lindsay, Cleo, Elizabeth, Emma, Anna, and Katelynn; bonus brothers, Kaleb, Jordan, Justin Weir and Sikeston Bingham and a very special friend, Bruce Crump.

Anyone who was blessed to have Gene in their life had a friend forever. He had a heart of gold and was the first one there for anyone who needed anything. Gene absolutely loved to go hunting and fishing and more than that he loved taking all of his younger cousins on their first hunting trips (or any hunting or fishing trip) he always wanted to be that father figure that they needed. He was always so proud of them, even if they would have gotten a bigger buck or a bigger fish, he was so proud. Gene always made sure everyone knew how much he loved them and the time he got with them. Even when he would get mad and not like them anymore (Josh, lol) he made sure they knew he would always love them.

Gene came from a very large family with more cousins than he could probably count. To Gene many of them were more like a brother or sister. Gene was like a brother you loved so much. Every moment you were with him was a memorable one like at deer camp or the 4th of July. Really, any time he got to be with his family was special to him. Everyone knows Gene was a big Momma’s boy. He loved his Mother (as he called her) and Gene was a very good son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend but most of all DAD. He loved his son, Gunner, more than anything.

Our lives will not be the same without him. Our gatherings are going to be a little less active and funny without our ‘Little Gene’. Rest easy love, for one day we will be together again! We will love you and miss you forever and always.
