POTOSI TROJAN WRESTLERS TO STATE TOURNAMENT

P.H.S. Sophomores Aden Martinez (left) and Allison Missey (center) both took 2nd Place at their District Wrestling Meets and Senior Levi Courtney (right) took 4th Place in his Division at District. All three wrestlers move on to the State Wrestling Tournament in Columbia at MIZZOU on Thursday and Friday, this week. The trio will be leaving Potosi to head to the State Tournament and will be escorted through ‘downtown’ as they go. On the boys’ side, Levi Courtney stands at 38-8 in his match count (prior to District) and Aden Martinez is at 37-12 on the season so far. Miss Missey has a record of 15-3 on the year. Courtney had a couple of ‘milestones’ during his Senior season as he broke the high school’s record with 81 pins (so far) and celebrated his 100th match win during Senior night.
