Missouri D.N.R. Revised Primacy Fee Structure In 2021/ Starts ‘22
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources went through the process of established new fee rates by amending rule 10 CSR 60-16 Drinking Water Fees, through the process outlined in 640.100 RSMo.
The change in the fee schedule took effect as of January 1, 2022 throughout the State. In Potosi, the residential fee schedule for the Primacy Fee was $3.00 per year; that fee has been changed to $4.52 per year by the State of Missouri, through D.N.R.
The City of Potosi will reflect this change on the February billing for water in 2022. The fee is a ‘once a year’ charge that is collected by the City of Potosi.
Non-residential water customers will see a change in their Primacy Fee charge as well, and that charge will be shown on the February billing and is figured per customer by the size of water line/meter, etc.
Residents of the City of Potosi and also ‘outside City limit’ customers will see the Primacy Fee schedule change on their February 2022 billing from the City.
For questions about billing, please contact the City of Potosi at 121 East High Street in Potosi or call 573-438-2767.
Customers are reminded that City billing can be paid online as well as by mail or in person at City Hall.
