Sharon Witt

Sharon Rose Witt of Richwoods was born December 8, 1951 in Richwoods, a daughter to the late Louis Hayes and Eva Geraldine (Ramey) Hayes. Sharon departed this life Thursday, March 3, 2022 having reached the age of 70 years, 2 months and 23 days.
On June 23, 1972, Sharon was united in marriage to the late Leonard Witt and they happily shared 36 years of love and memories together. Leonard preceded Sharon in death on June 6, 2009.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Mary Cobb and husband Kenny of Richwoods, Cherie Witt of Richwoods; brother, Robert Hayes and wife Sheila of Potosi and many other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Gloriod.
Sharon was very loving and caring. She had a personality that brought peace as soon as she entered a room. She loved taking walks on warm days in the spring and summer as well as playing games, telling jokes and being with her family. She brought many great memories to those she loved. She will be missed by those who loved her dearly.
Visitation for Sharon was held Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4-8PM at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation resumed Tuesday, March 8 from 8:30-10AM at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8 at 10AM at Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Perry Vance officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Horine Cemetery in Richwoods. Serving as pallbearers were Kenny Cobb, Michael Rector, Matt Littrell, Travis Littrell, Glen Thurmond and Mike Rulo.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
