Rally In The 100 Acre Wood Starts In ‘Downtown Potosi’ Friday, March 18th • Exposé at Courthouse

March 11, 2022

The organizers of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood have announced the Parc Exposé to be held at the Washington County Courthouse on Friday, March 18th, 2022.

The Exposé is an opportunity for the public to see the Rally cars up close, possibly talk to the drivers and learn more about Rally.

The organizers plan to close North Missouri Street in front of the Courthouse to Clark and Breton Streets in the ‘Downtown’ on that Friday and use the street and the Courthouse parking lot for the Rally racers to park their competition cars.

The Exposé is to be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. with the competitors leaving from Potosi and heading to their first stage at Floyd Tower.

There will be an opening ceremony at 1 p.m. with a welcome from Presiding Commissioner Dave Sansegraw and Chamber of Commerce President T.R. Dudley and the National Anthem played by the Potosi High School Band.

There will be refreshments available in the area and St. James Catholic Church will be hosting a carry out fish fry at lunch time.

Service areas will be set up on Friday at the Potosi Lions Club Fairgrounds on Highway 185. Spectators and public can visit the service areas, but parking for the public is at the Washington County Saddle Club grounds.

Spectator points are set up off Pigeon Roost and Grassy Hollow with those stages running at 2:37 p.m. and 5:47 p.m., see the map Page 7C.

The current field of drivers includes some favorites and familiar names with 95 cars registered at this time.

Come enjoy the Rally as it kicks off in ‘Downtown Potosi’.
