Muriel Maxine Arndt of Ironton was born on March 30, 1941, in Potosi, a daughter to Raymond “Sam” Arndt and Virginia (Briley) Arndt. Muriel went to her Heavenly Home away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 having reached the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

Muriel loved her Lord and Savior. In her early years while living in Virginia, Muriel volunteered at the Christian Broadcast Network for Rev. Pat Robertson where she answered phones for callers in need of prayer. Muriel was passionate about helping others and had a servants heart and was always gracious with her time. In addition, Muriel also volunteered at the Bismarck Senior Center. Many will remember her smile at Ryan’s Restaurant where she waitressed for many years. She was a faithful member of Bismarck Free Will Baptist Church. Muriel enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love for her children and grandchildren. Muriel will be forever loved and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Muriel is survived by her four children, Terry Arndt, Denita "Bunni" Henson (husband, Brett), Melinda Saunders (husband, Brian), and Seth Nelson (wife, Helen); ten grandchildren, Thaylor Nickelson (husband, Chad), Brettnie Barton (husband, Donnie), Baylee Coleman (husband, Garrett), Brilee Henson, Nathan Sharp, Kaylyn Sharp, Carson Saunders, Odessa Willett, Barrett Henson, and Jack Nelson; three great grandchildren, Chadley, Laric, and Gentry; two brothers, Mike Arndt (wife, Linda), Randy Arndt (wife, Beverly); two sisters-in-law, Connie Arndt & Isabelle Arndt; nieces, nephews & extended family.

In addition to her father and mother, Muriel was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Arndt and Jerry Arndt; and the father of her children, Noel Nelson.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 15th from 5 to 8 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Wednesday, March 16th from 9 to 11 A.M.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 16th at 11 A.M. at the DeClue Chapel. Pastor Cleo Reeder officiated the service. Interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery.

DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served and ministered to the family of Muriel Arndt.
