What Will You Do? Saturday, May 7th Offers Something For Everyone
The City of Potosi and Washington County will host the annual City-wide / County-wide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 7th. Watch for a map and listings for sales are being taken at ‘The I-J’ office, 438-5141.
Twin Eagle Lake is hosting a Craft and Wine Festival with a large variety of vendors, events and attractions for all ages at the lake on Hwy. 185 on Saturday, May 7th.
The ‘first ever’ Flower Festival being coordinated by the Washington County Chamber and held at Forshana Farm on Highway 8 in Shirley is Saturday, May 7th. There is planned home and garden presentations by a variety of hosts, vendors with goods, food trucks and more.
There will be a ‘Junkin’ Saturday’ at the Village of Caledonia with vendors and sidewalk sales on Saturday, May 7th and flowers for Mother’s Day weekend.
The Annual Valley R-6 All School Reunion is being held at the Valley gymnasium. Social hour is at 9 a.m. and lunch for alumni is at noon.
In Old Mines, it’s the annual Make A Wish Car Show at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The car show always draws a big crowd and a lot of great cars and trucks. There’s food and fun and lots to see.
There’s a JKK Inheritance fund raising Poker Run that begins at the Potosi VFW Hall on Veterans Drive on Saturday, May 7th. The fun run starts with registration at 9 a.m. and the ride at 11 a.m. There will be food available and vendors on hand.
Kingston Elementary and Primary Schools are hosting a Color Run on Saturday, May 7th with kids at $20 and adults at $25. The run/walk/jog will be a choice of 1 mile or 2 miles with several color stations along the routes. Call 438-4982, ext. 1 or 2 for more information.
There is a Cinco de Mayo fiesta at Washington State Park on May 7th at the campground. There will be food for sale, a fashion contest and campsite decorating contest. There will be taco dinner fund raiser starting at 5 p.m. with the Friends of the Park.
