Jeanne Schenk (nee Knott) October 6, 1929 - April 28, 2022
Jeanne Schenk formerly of Creve Coeur, passed away peacefully, at the age of 92.

Cherished mother of Kurt Schenk, Kathy Bennett and Steve Schenk; loving grandmother of Linda Bennett, Jacquelin (Jay) Bennett-Davison, Scott (Courtney) Schenk, Michael Schenk and Matthew Schenk; and loving great-grandmother of Leo and Isabell Lu Lu; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend.

Jeanne was born in Desoto to Marguerite and Joseph Knott.
She was one of five children. She often spoke fondly of her childhood and her passionate memories of her horses while growing up on the family farm in rural Washington county. She graduated from Potosi High School and soon after began her teaching career at the age of seventeen. She received her teaching degree from Southeast Missouri State University. After moving to Creve Coeur, she became a first grade teacher in the Parkway School District and later in Pattonville, at Rose Acres Elementary.

Jeanne also enjoyed a career in real estate for many years with
Gundaker in Creve Coeur. She was always an avid reader and in her later years Jeanne enjoyed genealogy. She had a lifelong love for animals and dearly loved her pets.

Most of all Jeanne was devoted to her family, and a kind and
compassionate soul with an incredible passion for life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation was held Tuesday, May 10th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, Creve Coeur. A Celebration of Life service was held at 12 noon.

Inurnment followed at Blackwell Masonic Cemetery.
