Services Held

James L. Matlock, husband of Frances (League) Matlock, of 3937 Shenandoah, St. Louis, passed away on Sunday, March 15, at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Matlock was born on April 21, 1902, the son of William Isom and Rachel A. (Stagner) Matlock in Salem, Missouri. He was 67 years of age at his death.

Mr. Matlock is survived by his wife, Frances; two sons, James Matlock of St. Louis and Jack Matlock of Rolla; three brothers, Roy Matlock of St. Louis, Al Matlock of Arizona and Lee Matlock of Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Hodges, of Overland and Ruth Tharp of Salem. Also surviving are two grandchildren.

Services were held on Tuesday, March 17, at 8 p.m. at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary in St. Louis. Chapel services were conducted from the Don Sparks Chapel on Wednesday, March 18, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Warren Williams, of House Springs Baptist Church officiating with interment being in the Lost Creek Cemetery.
