Corey Alan McCoy of Farmington was born on May 8, 1987, in Farmington, a son of the late Alan Dale McCoy and Lynetta Faye Brewer. Corey passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, having reached the age of thirty-five years, and twenty-one days.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his son, Bentley McCoy; brothers, Caleb McCoy (wife, Sarah), and Rocky McCoy; grandparents, Larry & Karen Brewer, Judy McCoy, and Annabell McCoy; nephew, Cade McCoy; aunts and uncles, Mark & Nedra Harrington, Rick & Regina McCoy, James & Melissa Daniels, Michelle (late husband, Mark) Higginbotham, Sherry Brewer, Dustin & Andrea Brewer, and Kim Conway. Corey is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Corey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Loretta Brewer; grandfather, Dale McCoy; uncle, Mark Higginbotham, and great uncle, Roger Brewer.

Corey was very proud of his country and patriotism was a big part of his life. He proudly served in the United States Army, being deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. He loved his family very much and loved being a father to Bentley. One of the things he enjoyed most in life was riding his motorcycle.

Visitation for Corey was Friday, June 3rd from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi.

A funeral service immediately followed the visitation at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Josh Kennon. Interment was held at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay. Full Military Honors were presented by the United States Army, V.F.W. Post 6996 and the Patriot Guard Riders.
