Charles Benson

Charles Bedford Benson of Mineral Point was born October 6, 1935 in Potosi, a son to the late Floyd and Elsie (Lamar) Benson. Charles departed this life Saturday, June 11, 2022 having reached the age of 86 years, 8 months and 5 days.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Kim Robinson and husband Bobby of Pevely, Sandra Ryder of Arnold; sons, Robert Benson of Mineral Point, Ron Benson of St. Louis, Danny Benson and wife Karen of Sugarland, Texas, David Benson of Mineral Point; sister, Sharon Roth of High Ridge; brother, Jerry Benson of Oakdale, California; 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Mikle Benson and brothers, George, Larry, and Alvin Benson and sister, Sherry Tise.
Charles had a passion for the outdoors and spent the majority of his time hunting, fishing and working around his home. He shared his love of Mother Nature with his family, teaching his children and grandchildren how to hunt and fish. He gave those he loved many great memories that will never be forgotten. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend. His memory will continue to live in the heart of those who loved him.
Private services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
