Harvey Sterling Price

Harvey Sterling Price of Mineral Point, was born on March 31, 1940 a son of the late Marion Price and the late Ora (Cantrell) Price. On January 27, 1970, Harvey was united in marriage to the love of his life, Glenda Revelle and they shared nearly fifty-one years together. Harvey went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2020 having reached the age of eighty years, six months and twenty-nine days.

In addition to Harvey’s father and mother, he was preceded in death by a son Marty Dale Price; daughter Lena “Nita” Emily; grandson Billy Dean III; great grandson Baby Cain; seven siblings, Leroy, Edward, Francis, Delbert, Charlotte, and Lucille Price, and Alfrieda Richards.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife, Glenda Price; eight children, Harvey W. “Bub” Price and wife Crystal, Barb Cain, Melinda Glore and husband Mike, Billy Dean and wife Misty, Shelia Missey and Mark Pashia, Andy Price and Becky Cook, Gene Price, and Brian Price; seventeen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren; three siblings, Carol Cain and husband Albert, Shirley Lawson, and Vincent Price and wife Judy. Harvey is also survived by dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation was held from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday, November 1st at DeClue Funeral Home. Harvey was honored for his 42 years of service to the Potosi Fire Department and our community with a Fireman’s Service on Sunday evening at 6:30 P.M.

Visitation resumed on Monday, November 2nd from 9 A.M. until time of funeral service at 11 A.M., held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Bob Pyatt and Brother Larry Degonia.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
