John Gloriod

John Albert Gloriod, Jr. of Richwoods was born January 8, 1939 in Richwoods, a son to the late John Albert Gloriod, Sr. and Catherine Ellen (Hayes) Gloriod. John departed this life Tuesday, July 26, 2022 having reached the age of 83 years, 6 months and 18 days.
John is survived by his daughters, Wanda Disano and husband Charles of Warrenton, Brenda Gloriod of St. Charles; sister, Betty Pelton of Lonedell; brother, Eddie Gloriod and wife Vickie of Richwoods; grandchildren, Amanda, Jackie, Cassie; great grandchildren, Julian, Philip, Maylene and many other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Gloriod and special friend, Geraldine Hayes.
John had a kind and caring heart, always taking the time to help others in need. He lived a quiet and peaceful life always making his family top priority. He worked for many years as an auto mechanic and loved seeing vehicles restored to their former glory. He also enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and playing slot machines. He will be best remembered for his love and kindness and his memory will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12 Noon at St. Stephen Catholic Church Hall in Richwoods.
Services are under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
