Danny Bernard Gant

Danny Bernard Gant, 74, of Terre du Lac, passed away on August 20, 2022 in Desloge.
Danny was born in Bonne Terre on June 17, 1948, youngest son of the late Frank and Gladys (Pirtle) Gant of Elvins.
Besides his parents, Danny was preceded by his siblings, Denver Gant, Jacquelyn McGrael, Patsy Politte, Vickie Powers, Louella Barton, Wanda Chapman, Georgia Masters, Oleta Gant and Rondell Gant, the latter two having died in infancy.
Danny is survived by his wife and partner of 29 years, Bettye (Jones) Warner-Gant of the home, a son, Brent Gant and wife Wendy of Potosi; two stepsons, Tom Warner, Corey and wife Abi Warner and grandchildren, Gabriella "Ella" Gant, Brennon Gant, Makayla Hicks, and Jadelynn Wigger,
Danny is also survived by two siblings, Lavanda Matthews and Frank Gant and wife Debbie, many cousins, other relatives, friends, and his fur buddy "Pete”.
Danny graduated in the Class of 1966 from Elvins High School. He was proud to be a Marine and served in Vietnam. Danny retired from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and participated in golf tournaments. He also enjoyed watching golf and the St. Louis Cardinals on television. He was a life time member of the Bonne Terre V.F.W. He loved his family and was very proud of them.
Per Danny's wishes, there was no visitation. A military service will be held at a date to be announced later at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Arrangements were cared for by Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills.
Memorials in Danny's honor are requested to Serenity Hospice who took such wonderful care of Danny in his final days.
