Levern C. Gillam

Levern C. Gillam of Potosi was born on May 24, 1947 in Crawford County, a son to Herman and Claudia (Agers) Gillam. Vern departed this life on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at his home having reached the age of 75 years, 3 months and 9 days.

Those who remain to treasure his memory include his three children, Jennifer Burke, Malena Holthaus, and Scott Gillam (wife, Tabatha); six grandchildren: Allie, Drew, Chauncey, David, Joey, and Destiny; two great grandchildren, Blake and Chasen; four siblings, Jesse Agers (wife, Ann), Linda Pyatt (husband, John), Billy Gillam (wife, Debbie), Norma Parks (husband, Doug). Vern also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Vern was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Claudia Gillam; loving wife, Kay Louise Gillam; and three siblings, Dale Gillam, Joyce Boyer, and Darlene Conway.

Visitation was held Wednesday, September 7th from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi. A funeral service immediately followed, beginning at 1 P.M. in the DeClue Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Dean Raven officiated Vern's service. Interment followed at the Gillam Ridge Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
