20th Bi-State Band Festival Saturday, Oct. 8th in Potosi

This Saturday, October 8th, 2022 the Potosi Trojan Marching Band will host the 20th Annual Bi-State Marching Inviational in Downtown Potosi and at Potosi High School’s Trojan Field, behind the Junior High.

Shuttle parking will be available at the Potosi Lions Fairgrounds.

The Bi-State Marching Invitational begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m. as the Potosi High School Marching Trojans lead off the parade line-up.

The schedule includes:

Potosi (Exhibition) at 9 a.m.

9:05 a.m. = Steelville

9:10 a.m. = New Haven

9:15 a.m. = School of the Osage

9:20 a.m. = Herculaneum

9:25 a.m. = St. Clair

9:30 a.m. = St. Charles West

9:35 a.m. = Hazelwood West

9:40 a.m. = Waynesville

The parade route begins at Lawrence Street and goes through Downtown Potosi to the High School.

Parade Classes are 1A - Steelville and New Haven; 2A = Herculaneum, St. Clair, School of the Osage and St. Charles West; 3A - Hazelwood West and Waynesville.

The field show schedule begins with Potosi Brass Ensemble playing the National Anthem at 10:45 a.m.

Central (Park Hills) will perform at 11 a.m.; Owensville takes the field at 11:15 a.m.; Capital City marches at 11:30 a.m.; St. Francis Borgia steps off at 11:45 a.m.; Warrenton takes the field at 12 noon; Grandview marches at 12:15 p.m.; School of the Osage performs at 12:30 p.m.; Jefferson City marches at 12:45 p.m. and Mehlville closes the first segment at 1 p.m.

The Bi-State Parade Awards will be given at 1:20 p.m. at the Grand Stand. Only Directors and Bands will participate as all parents and spectators will be excused after the conclusion of the Mehlville performance.

The second group includes Bayless performing at 2 p.m.; St. Charles West marching at 2:15 p.m.; Hazelwood West performs at 2:30 p.m.; Union marches at 2:45 p.m.; Poplar Bluff performs at 3 p.m.; Waynesville takes the field at 3:15 p.m.; Farmington marches at 3:30 p.m.; Hillsboro performs at 3:45 p.m.; and Marquette is on the field at 4 p.m.

Awards will be given at approximately 4:30 p.m.

The finals will begin at 6 p.m. and go through approximately 8:15 p.m. Performances on 15 minute intervals.

The P.H.S. Marching Band appreciates the community’s support and is happy to be able to perform this year for their 20th Anniversary.
