‘Honk!, The Musical’, at P.H.S. Thursday thru Sunday, Nov. 10-13
The drama and music departments of Potosi High School have been working diligently to get their production of ‘Honk!, The Musical’ on stage for the public’s enjoyment.
The production will have shows at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10th, Friday, Nov. 11th and Saturday, Nov. 12th and close with a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. on Nov. 13th.
The crew and cast have been spending hours working on sets, rehearsing and getting ready for opening night.
The 1993 Stiles & Drewe musical Honk! has winged its way around the world in over 8,000 productions and in many different languages. The musical is the winner of multiple awards, including the 2000 Olivier Award for Best Musical. Directors say this heartwarming celebration of being different is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit and memorable score.
Ugly looks quite a bit different from the other darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite mom’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul, Ugly goes on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while outwitting a very hungry cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out that being different is not a bad thing to be.
This touching musical with plenty of heart will captivate the audience. Plan on attending the production of ‘Honk!’ at the P.H.S. gymnasium.
Theatre and Speech teacher and sponsor Lukus Dement said, “We have to thank everyone from the administration, staff and community for their support, patience and donations. A huge thank you goes out to the parents of all the fantastic students invovled! I’m excited about the future of the P.H.S. Theatre Department!”
“The Department has been busy prepping this fantastic show. From crew nights to Saturday rehearsals, these students are dedicated,” said Dement.
Mark your calendar and plan for a fun and enjoyable evening with entertainment by the talented students at Potosi High School.
