George Edward Stalley

George Edward Stalley of Richwoods was born December 22, 1948 in East St. Louis, a son to the late Raymond Elmer Stalley, Sr. and Juanita Delores (Brown) Shaftner. George departed this life Monday, November 28, 2022 having reached the age of 73 years, 11 months and 6 days.

Those left to cherish the memory of George include his brother, Michael Stalley of East. St. Louis, Illinois in addition to nieces, nephews other relatives and dear and special friends.

George was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served from 1968-1974. He proudly displayed his patriotism throughout his life and loved sharing stories of him time in the Marine Corps. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device and Vietnam Service Medal. Most of all, his family was his pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2:30 P.M. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
