Marida Kay Kelly

Marida Kay Kelly also known by family and friends as Rita, of Desloge, was born on February 27, 1953 in Bonne Terre, a daughter of the late Lenuel and Louise (Mitchell) Mahurin. Rita passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 having reached the age of sixty-seven years, eight months and eight days.

Those who remain to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Kenneth W. Kelly; three children, Kenneth Kelly Jr. and wife Dana Marie, Kristina Kelly and Dallas Hodge, Christopher Kelly; three step children, Todd Maurath and wife Cindy, Lisa Johnson, and Trish Hernandez and husband Gustavo; a sister Kathy Dane and husband Mike; twenty-two grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Rita is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Rita was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Dawn Martinez; grandson Anthony; and brother Lenuel Mahurin Jr.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 6th from 5 to 8 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation resumed on Saturday, November 7th, beginning at 9:00 A.M. 

A Funeral service was held on Saturday, November 7th at 10 A.M., held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Bob Adams.

Interment and final prayers were held at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
