Melvin Charles Smith

Melvin Charles Smith of Blackwell was born August 24, 1946 in Hayville, Alabama a son to the late Willard and Clara Etoye Smith. Melvin departed this life Thursday, December 22, 2022 having reached the age of 76 years, 3 months and 28 days.

Melvin is survived by his sisters, Oneta Miller of Blackwell, Nettie Hahn of Blackwell; brother, Marlon Smith of Blackwell, in addition to many other relatives and friends.

Melvin was a loving family man and always took care of others in need. He loved tinkering with cars and enjoyed the beauties of Mother Nature. Hunting and fishing with friends brought him great joy. He will be greatly missed by those he loved.

Visitation for Melvin was held Friday, December 30th from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 30th at 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Peirce officiating.

Burial and final prayers took place at Horine Cemetery in Richwoods. Serving as pallbearers were Mitchell Hahn, Dustin Jenkins, Kayla Jenkins, Brandon Boyer, Ashley Hahn and Erika Hahn.

All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
