Delores Faye (Eye) Lewis
Delores Faye (Eye) Lewis also lovingly known as "Dee" of Freeburg, Illinois, formerly of Potosi, was born on November 12, 1938 in Potosi, a daughter to the late Floyd and Opal (Harmon) Eye. In addition to Dee’s father and mother, she as preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Lewis; son, Terry Lynn Hollinsworth; six siblings, Norma Ruth Eye, Betty Lee Eye, Geraldine Crocker, Raymond Eye, Austin Eye, and Freda Wright; and many other dear relatives.
Those who remain to treasure her memory include her three sons, David Hollinsworth, Randy Whitaker, and Robert "Rob" Lewis (wife, Michelle Burkard); eight grandchildren, Niki Wann, David Hollinsworth, Ashley Middleton, Shawn Whitaker, Brenden Lewis, Parker Lewis, Mercede Wood and Zach Burkard; four very close great grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, Bethany, and A.J.; and other dear great grandchildren. Delores also leaves behind five siblings, Stanley (Donna) Eye, Boyd (Dorris) Eye, Cleo (Shirley) Eye, and Ronnie (Millie) Eye, and Elaine (Marvin) Mercer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation was held Saturday, January 7th from 12 noon until the time of funeral service at 2 P.M. at DeClue Funeral Home, Potosi with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating. Interment followed at the White Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery.
DeClue Funeral Home was honored to have served and ministered to the family of Delores.
