Melissa Jean Frierdich

Melissa Jean Frierdich of DeSoto was born on February 6th, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter to Ursula Jones (Hess) and the late Jimmy Boyd Jones. Melissa departed this life on February 7th, 2023 having reached the age of 51 years, and 1 day.
Melissa is survived by her loving and devoted husband Aaron Frierdich of DeSoto, four cherished daughters, Karen and husband Michael Coleman of Blackwell, Ashley Frierdich and fiancé Denny Ross of Blackwell, Stephanie Reid of DeSoto; six cherished grand babies, Hope, Easton, Hayden, Hudson, Aayla, and Maylee; her mother, Ursula Jones (Hess) of Cadet; sister, Ingrid Jones of Waterloo, Illinois; brothers, Michael Jones of Cadet, and Jimmy Don Jones of Cadet; father-in-law, Wolfgang Frierdich. Melissa also leaves behind Sister-in-law’s, Brother-in-law’s and many other dear and special relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Katie Frierdich and her mother-in-law, Ruth (Armbrecht) Frierdich.
Melissa enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandbabies. Melissa enjoyed thrift shopping, expressing her creativity though crafting, and she absolutely loved and helped everyone at any time of need. Melissa loved her Lord and savior and was a devout member of the First Baptist Church in DeSoto. Melissa will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her and loving her in return.
Visitation was held Saturday, February 11th from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services was held Saturday, February 11th at 1 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home. Final place of interment and prayers will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi.
Serving as pallbearers were Brent Toenjes, Lance Toenjes, Michael Coleman, Denny Ross, Jerome Mehrtens and Scott Frierdich.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
