WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSION PROCLAIMS ‘THANK A FARMER WEEK’ – At left, Washington County Farm Bureau President Jim Reed receives a Proclamation from the Washington County Commission recognizing the importance of agriculture and the value it offers in Washington County. Presenting the Proclamation, from left, next to Reed, is Presiding Commissioner Dave Sansegraw, 1st District Commissioner Doug Short and 2nd District Commissioner Cody Brinley. The Commission is pleased to recognize the farmers and agricultural businesses in the County and the important role they play in the local economy. A worthwhile note is that both Commissioners Short and Brinley are both in the farming and ag business themselves. Thank a farmer this week when you sit down to a meal, have a snack or get dressed to go out! The Proclamation was delivered at the Monday morning meeting of the County Commission at the Courthouse on Monday, March 6th, 2023.
