Kenneth Earl Politte of Potosi was born February 3, 1963 in St. Louis, a son to the late Kenneth Earl Politte, Sr. and Karen (Portell) Bailey. Kenneth departed this life Monday, March 27, 2023 having reached the age of 60 years, 1 month and 24 days.
On September 20, 1980, Kenneth was united in marriage to the late Thereasa “Terri” (Mackley) Politte and they lovingly shared 41 years together. Terri preceded Kenneth in death on March 18, 2022.
Kenneth is survived by his loving daughters, Kendra Price and husband David, Shauntae Politte; sister, Darla Stenzel and husband Keith; grandchildren, Anberly, Alexys and Adalynne Price; brothers and sister-in-law, Tim Mackley, Tony Mackley, DeDe Mackley and husband Clinton in addition to many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Kenneth was preceded in death by his step father, Charles Olen Bailey; sister-in-law, Vickey Barron and brother-in-law, Ricky Barron.
Kenneth was a loving family man and always made sure his family was well taken care of. He had a passion for motorcycle riding and enjoyed taking road trips with his wife Terri to see new places. He loved his work as a truck driver and always made sure his truck was in its best shape. Out of all of his travels, his favorite place to be was with his family. His family was his world. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and dear friend to all he met. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Visitation for Kenneth was held Friday, March 31st from 4 to 8 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Visitation resumed Saturday, April 1st from 9 to 11 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services we held Saturday, April 1st at 11 A.M. at Moore Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Cantrell officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Portell, Perril Portell, Ethan Portell, Kevin Cantrell, Kevin Cantrell II and Tim Thompson.
