Rosco Anthony Emily

Rosco Anthony Emily, also loving known as “Dudie” by family and friends, of Cadet was born on December 7, 1951, in St Louis, a son of the late Raymond and Faye (Mathis) Emily. Dudie passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, having reached the age of 71.

Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Linda Emily; children, Misty Emily (companion Marlin), Tony Emily (wife Katie); grandchildren, Colby, Kali, Josie, Dustin, Emma, Jordan, Conner, Abby; great-grandchildren, Liam, Laytin, Kalliyah "Tater", Kalum, MacKinlee "Little Mac", Hazel, Addilyn, Grayson, Wesley; siblings, Christopher Emily (wife Laura), Bobby Emily, Loretta Emily, Peggy Bess (husband Ronald), Theresa Cain (husband Joe), also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dudie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chris & Louise Emily and Brian & Theresa Mathis; great-grandchildren, Waylon, Ivy Mae; siblings, Raymond, Paul, Bill, Ralph, Eilene and Ellen, Mary and Joseph, and Florence Emily.

Dudie was an outdoorsman - loved fishing, any kind of hunting, mushroom hunting, and camping. He enjoyed playing darts with his kids, even participating in tournaments with them. He was a very special man that didn't have a mean bone in his body. He will be missed greatly by all of his family!

Visitation was Wednesday, April 5th from 5 to 7 p.m., held at DeClue Funeral Home. A funeral service immediately followed the visitation at 7 p.m. officiated by Bro. John Emily.
