17th Annual: At Old Mines . . . Car & Truck Show Is A Make-a-Wish Fundraiser

Make-A-Wish of Missouri has announced the 17th Annual Old Mines Community Car, Truck & Show set for Sat., May 6th, 2023 at the Knights of Columbus Hall #5936 on Hwy. 21 in Old Mines will be a Benefit to raise funds for Make-A-Wish of Missouri.

Make-A-Wish of Missouri grants wishes of children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. A wish provides a child the opportunity to think about happy things and to escape into a world where wishes come true. It reassures the child that there is a whole community of people who care about their wellbeing. Most importantly, it lets a child know that anything is possible... even the future.

Local area Make-A-Wish recipients are being invited to attend.

All donations to the Metro Chapter remain in the area to provide wishes for area children.

The 17th Annual Car & Truck Show will get underway with registration beginning at 10 A.M. ($20 Entry Fee) followed by the opening ceremonies at 12 Noon and a special ceremony beginning at approximately 2 P.M. for our local Make-A-Wish children. A small auction will be held, followed by the presentation of Trophies at approximately 4 P.M.

The $20 Entry Fee includes goody bags for the first 100 registered. This year’s Show will have 18 classes with First, Second and Third Place trophies and 7 specialty trophies awarded.

2022 Best of Show recipient was Coby Helms, GMC Sierra.

Also planned are raffles, a variety of donation drawings and a small auction.

A bouncy house and music will be provided compliments of M & M Productions and food and beverages will be provided by the Knights of Columbus #5936 - Old Mines.
