Courtney Laramore Promoted As E.M.A.A. Head Start Director

Keri McCrorey, Executive Director of East Missouri Action Agency has announced that after 33 years with E.M.A.A., Renee Killian, Head Start Director of East Missouri Action Agency, Inc. (EMAA) has retired as of June 1, 2023.
E.M.A.A. is pleased to announce that Courtney Laramore, currently the Administrative Assistant and Fiscal Regulator for the Agency has been named as her successor.
Ms. Laramore brings 20 years of experience, a wealth of knowledge with a deep understanding and commitment to the Head Start program.

Courtney will oversee the day to day operation of the Head Start program. She will ensure that E.M.A.A.’s reputation of providing high quality early childhood education is maintained.

Courtney has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Central Methodist University and she is a Certified Community Action Professional. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, a commitment to staff, parents and children.
Courtney stated, “Head Start and Community Action has become very near and dear to my heart. We change individual’s, children’s, and families’ lives daily and it is an honor that I will get to continue to be a part of this program now and in the future. I look forward to carrying on the tradition that Renee has left of helping our families and children succeed in school and life.”

Ms. Laramore lives in Washington County with her husband Chris and two children, Corben, and Regan
