Talent Show Opener For 75th Annual County Fair

Wednesday, August 9th–

Potosi Lions Club President Jeff Higginbotham and Fair Board President Randy Fryman said entries are now available for individuals and groups from Washington and adjoining counties wishing to participate in the annual Talent Show which will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wed., Aug. 9th at the 75th Annual Washington County Fair in Potosi.

A total of $625 cash prize-money will be awarded in five divisions, which will be $75 for 1st Place, $30 for 2nd Place and $20 for 3rd Place in each Division.

The line-up for the five divisions in the Talent Show will include Division 1- Singing Youth ages 1-9; Division 2- Singing Youth, ages 10-17; Division 3- Instrumental (all ages) Division 4- Singing Adult, and Division 5- Hobbies & Dance.

Youth award ceremony will be held during intermission (following the last act of Division 3). Adult award ceremony will be held at the end of the show.

Entrants must indicate if they perform solo or with a group; contestants must be non-professional; contestants may enter one division free and each additional division for $10 (additional Division fees are due in cash at Dress Rehearsal); each act will be limited to five minutes (point deduction if act is over 5 minutes) and contestants must provide their own digital file accompaniment.

All contestants are recommended to be at the Dress Rehearsal Tuesday, Aug. 8th at 2 p.m. (performers attending will receive a free Wednesday Fair Pass for Wednesday).

Division 1 contestants are to contact Xanthia McCaul at the stage before 6:15 P.M. to start the Talent Show at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, August 9th.
