SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN
All across Washington County, youngsters are returning to school campuses, beginning the 2024-25 school year. Districts have held Open House evenings to welcome students and parents, meeting teachers and getting schedules for the year. This year, Potosi was first to start the year on Monday, Aug. 19th, as Superintendent Alex McCaul (below) welcomed bus riders and helped give out wristbands for the bus return trip at the end of the students’ first day. Valley begins a new year with a new schedule, going to school for a 4 day week, Tuesday through Friday. At right, Whitney Yount met with students, family and friends during the Open House on Thursday, Aug. 15th at the Valley R-6 school complex. Drivers, please be attentive as students are on the road, too! Good luck to all the students and school staff for this school year!
