Government Agencies Closed For Labor Day

Local and state-related Government Agencies have announced observance of the Labor Day Holiday, paying tribute to our working force on Monday, September 2nd, 2024.
Slated for closing to celebrate are Washington County Health Department, Washington County Courthouse, Division of Family Services and Division of Aging, Potosi Housing Authority Office, Washington County Library, Potosi City Hall, Sayers Senior Center, University of Missouri Extension and Potosi License Bureau.
The Washington County Library will also be closed Saturday, August 31st. Other agencies do not have Saturday hours. Regular closing and opening schedules will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.
Law Enforcement agencies do not close for holidays. For Emergency service dial 9-1-1 or you may contact the Sheriff’s Office 24 hours a day year ‘round at 573-438-5478. Likewise Potosi City Police are open 365 days a year at 573-438-5426 as are the Fire Protection District, 573-438-5465, the County Hospital at 573-438-5451 and County Ambulance District 573-438-3635, who all maintain continuous coverage for emergency dispatch.
The local Home Health Agency also continues their service schedules daily without regard to holidays.
