Robinson (1825), he being their 4th and 5th great grandfather and Masonic brothers and biological father, and son Joe and Caleb Tiefenauer are the descendants of Brother Joseph Yohana Tiefenauer, who joined the lodge in 1926 and held the position of Tiler for 35 years until his death in 1961.
Tyro Lodge No. 12 A.F. & A. M. was chartered on April 7, 1825, and is preparing for its 200th anniversary next year. Past Worship Master Brandon Gregory appointed an anniversary committee last year to start preparations and planning for the 200th. The planning committee is John Robinson, III, Joe Tiefenauer, and Kevin Queen.
Tyro Lodge No. 12 is the oldest Masonic Lodge still on its original charter.
