Mary Ann Summers

Mary Ann Summers of Caledonia was born on February 21, 1937 in Caledonia, a daughter of the late Leo Everett and Elsie Myrtle (Akers) Black. On March 23, 1957, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Robert Lee Summers and they shared over forty-seven years together and were blessed with two daughters. Mary Ann passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 having reached the age of eighty-three years, nine months and five days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Vickey Lawrence, Shirley Bettis and husband Bradley; four grandchildren, Claude Michael Lawrence, Megan Elizabeth Dugger and husband Daren, Joshua Bradley Bettis, Benjamin Robert Bettis and wife Michelle. Mary Ann will also be remembered by extended family and friends.

In addition to her father and mother, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Summers on March 30, 2004; and sister Leona (Black) Jarvis on November 24, 1962.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 5th, beginning at 11 a.m. at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery with Bro. Bryan Buckley officiating.
