Wilma Cole

Wilma Jean Cole, a cherished member of the community, passed away on December 11, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on September 25, 1933, in Pine, Missouri, Wilma lived a life characterized by kindness and a deep care for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose thoughts and prayers were always focused on the well-being of those around her.
Wilma is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles Cole, and her four daughters: Rhonda Snyder and her husband Raymond of Bismarck, Reta Gilliam of Jackson, Pam Blair of Potosi, and Teresa Dennis of Fenton. She also leaves behind her son, Rodney Crase and his wife Anita of Loudon, Tennessee. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, who include LaDonna (Adam), Steve (Sherry), Angela (Chris), Ashley, Blake (Heather), Carey (Charles), Brian (Katherine), Nikki (Travis), John (Kristy), Eric, and Amber, as well as eighteen great-grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and another great great grandchild expected to arrive in March 2025. Wilma is also survived by her sister-in-law, Bobbie Keel; cousin, Delia Garrison and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Wilma’s life was rich with hobbies and interests that reflected her nurturing spirit. She married Charles Cole on November 2, 1974. She found joy in reading, embroidering, and sewing, as well as cooking for her family. One of her greatest pleasures was playing rummy with her daughters and cultivating her love for flowers. A lifelong member of Furnace Church of God, her faith was a guiding light in her life, further demonstrating her dedication to community and connection with others.
She is preceded in death by her son, Henry “Butch” Crase, Jr.; brother, Theodore Keel; her grandson, Kristopher Dennis; and her son-in-law, Dale Dennis. Their memories remain cherished by the family she nurtured so lovingly.
Wilma's kind heart and caring nature will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation for Wilma was held Tuesday, December 17 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services were held the same day at 12PM with Bro. Lloyd Pierce officiating.
Burial and final prayers took place at Furnace Creek Cemetery in Potosi. Serving as pallbearers were Eric Dennis, Travis Dye, Steve Snyder, Frankie Cole, Reid Dennis, and Logan Rulo.
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
